Mid Lachlan Landcare’s ‘Growing the Grazing Revolution’ program has been actively supporting graziers wishing to maintain & grow healthy landscapes, stock and business enterprises since 2010. This long-standing project was built on the philosophy that there’s power in getting people together and there’s inherent value within community.

Mid Lachlan Landcare have been monitoring, measuring and mapping salinity in our waterways since 2022 using a test method that’s fast, cost-effective, flexible and non-invasive. The data we collect is being collated to form an accessible water quality data set to help our community manage salinity in our landscape.

Our ongoing salinity project covers over fifty sites spread across a 700km loop, centred around Cowra and while Wyangala dam is not one of our regular testing sites, it was a good symbolic starting point for kicking off this years testing
